Desserts is stressed spelt backwards

Does anyone get really stressed out in the kitchen? Ooohh, me! Me! I do! I do! And for a long time, this has kept me away from the kitchen. Too hard. Too stressful. Until the start of this year. Until I stayed over at a a really good friend's place and there was something about her love for cooking that just made me wanna cook for the sheer enjoyment of it rather than cooking perfect dishes. To sing through the night Like a lark who is learning to pray." "My heart will be blessed with the sound of music.. and I'll sing once more." "Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens Bright copper kettles and warm woollen mittens Brown paper packages tied up with strings These are a few of my favourite things!" "She's always late ...

A praying life

From "A praying life" by Paul E. Miller This is by far one of my favourite excerpts on prayer. I love how Miller reminds us that we should just be who we are (our filthy messy lazy selves) before God, and not try and pretend that we are tidy enough to meet Him in prayer.
